Thelma F. Smith Scholarship Program

The Thelma F. Smith Scholarship exists to continue a legacy of generosity, education, and empowerment. This initiative provides financial support to young Black women from single-mother households who are pursuing higher education. Whether through tuition assistance or help with college-related expenses, the scholarship ensures that promising students have the resources, confidence, and support they need to succeed.
This scholarship program honors Thelma F. Smith's lifelong commitment to creating opportunities and removing barriers for women seeking to further their education.

On October 5, 2025, the Fathered Foundation launched Phase 1 of the Fathered Foundation by presenting two recipients with the Thelma F. Smith Scholarship.
