About Us
"God is a Father to the Fatherless and a defender of widows!" (Psalm 68:5) | Fathered Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting fatherless youth, adolescents, and single mothers through peer support, mentorship, counseling, true identity, encouragement, empowerment, and advocacy.
Our Mission is to ensure every young person feels seen, supported, and equipped with the tools they need to become resilient, confident, and purpose-driven adults. We also empower single mothers by providing spiritual, emotional, educational, and economic support so they never have to walk their journey alone.
These efforts are carried out through various initiatives, including the Thelma F. Smith Scholarship Program, our Annual Fathered Conference, Adolescent Mentorship, Counseling Programs, and Single Mother Empowerment Trainings & Workshops.

"Continuing the Legacy"

The Thelma F. Smith Scholarship exists to continue a legacy of generosity, education, and empowerment. This initiative provides financial support to young Black women from single-mother households who are pursuing higher education. Whether through tuition assistance or help with college-related expenses, the scholarship ensures that promising students have the resources, confidence, and support they need to succeed.
This scholarship program honors Thelma F. Smith's lifelong commitment to creating opportunities and removing barriers for those seeking to further their education.
On October 5, 2025, the Fathered Foundation launched Phase 1 of the Fathered Foundation by presenting two recipients with the Thelma F. Smith Scholarship.

Annual Fathered Conference
Fathered Conference (FC) is an annual conference designed to foster healing, wholeness, true identity, purpose, and a clear understanding of one's spiritual inheritance and destiny with biblical truths, psychological principles, and strategies. This is achieved through a powerful worship experience, the preached word of God, therapeutic workshops, and personal development sessions. We welcome those who have experienced the impact of fatherlessness, brokenness, or an identity crisis.
Attendees receive tools that strengthen their spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being, leaving them with a deeper connection to their true identity, spiritual inheritance, God-given purpose, and destiny, along with the confidence to walk it out. Fathered Conference is more than an event; it is a life-changing encounter that ignites transformation, restores hope, and empowers individuals to live their highest lives with boldness and confidence.
